Dr. Robert H. Woods

Dr. Robert H. Woods is a renown, double board certified facial plastic surgeon in private practice in Scottsdale, Arizona. His over twenty years of experience and surgical expertise was developed while caring for patients with facial cosmetic and reconstructive concerns. Dr. Woods is also an expert Ear Nose & Throat specialist and serves as the head of the ENT department at Honor Health Shea Hospital.

He is an Arizona native, born and raised in Tucson, Arizona.  There he developed a passion for tennis and the arts.  Dr. Woods achieved a nationally ranking as a tennis player, was named a college All American in tennis, and is a classical pianist and artist.

Dr. Woods athletic and artistic talents complement his profession of facial plastic surgery, and he finds it is the perfect complement to giving back and improving the lives of patients.

Dr. Robert H. Woods Education

Dr. Woods obtained a Liberal Arts degree at Occidental College in Los Angeles, California with an emphasis on art, music, literature, and philosophy. He then completed a Master’s of Science degree in Biology and a degree in Medicine at the University of Arizona.

This was followed by a six year residency training program at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Head and Neck Surgery, and  a one year fellowship at the University of California, Irvine focusing entirely on Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Giving Back

Dr. Woods donates services to a charitable organization sponsored by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, to help victims of domestic violence. He treated patients with facial scars and deformities, which resulted from domestic violence. These were often very complicated and difficult cases, but assisting these patients created some of the most rewarding experiences as a physician. This opportunity reinforced the idea of doing what you love and loving what you do, while helping others, as one of the most important things in life.
